Frequently asked questions

What video sources can I archive?

TubeArchiver supports downloading individual YouTube videos, entire playlists, and full channels. Simply paste the URL and the app will fetch all available content for you to select from.

What video qualities are available?

You can download videos in multiple quality levels ranging from 360p up to 8K (4320p), as well as extract audio only. The available options depend on what the source video provides.

Where are my downloaded videos stored?

All videos are saved to your local machine in a directory you configure through the settings page. Your content stays entirely under your control — no cloud storage or third-party services involved.

Can I pause and resume downloads?

Yes. TubeArchiver gives you full control over your download queue. You can pause, resume, cancel, or retry any download at any time, and track real-time progress including speed and estimated time remaining.

Does it handle age-restricted or private videos?

TubeArchiver supports browser cookie integration, which allows it to access age-restricted and private videos using your existing YouTube session. You can configure your preferred browser in the settings page.

Will it download duplicate videos?

No. TubeArchiver automatically detects videos that have already been archived and prevents duplicate downloads, so you can safely re-import playlists or channels without wasting storage space.

Which video players can I use to play downloaded videos?

For the best experience, we recommend using VLC or GOM Player, as they support all video formats and codecs out of the box.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Yes. You can upgrade from Free to Start or Pro at any time. Your new plan takes effect immediately, and you only pay the difference for the remaining billing period.

What do you do with my data?

TubeArchiver downloads videos directly to your local machine. We do not collect, store, or have access to any of the videos you download. Your account information is used only for authentication and license management.

Can I download subtitles with my videos?

Yes. TubeArchiver can download subtitles alongside your videos in SRT format. Choose your preferred language in Settings and the subtitle file will appear next to each downloaded video. Most video players auto-load the subtitles automatically.

Is there a mobile app?

TubeArchiver is currently available for Windows and macOS only. A mobile app is not available at this time.

How do I reach support?

You can reach us by email at hello@tubearchiver.com. We typically respond within 24 hours.
